How to Use Shilajit

Following is the recommended way to take Shilajit supplement.

1) Take one glass of lukewarm water or milk. If you are willing to take Shilajit with juice, there is no need of having warm juice. You can use the cold juice as well. The basic idea behind using the warm liquid for Shilajit is to accelerate the dissolving process of Shilajit in the drink. Shilajit dissolves quickly in warm liquid as compared to cold drinking liquid (water, milk, etc.)

2) Add 300-500mg of Shilajit in the above mentioned liquid and stirr it well until it is dissolved. If you are using liquid Shilajit (drops form), the recommended dosage is 5 drops.

3) Once the Shilajit liquid is prepared, you can consume it just like normal water or drink.

4) Different experts have different opinion about Shilajit timings. We recommend consuming Shilajit in the morning; 2-3 hours after breakfast. The reason behind using it in the morning after breakfast is to make sure that there is some metabolic process already going on in your body and there is enough time to consume 3-4 liters of water in a day after taking Shilajit. The U.S. National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine determined that an adequate daily fluid intake is: About 15.5 cups (3.7 liters) of fluids a day for men. About 11.5 cups (2.7 liters) of fluids a day for women.
